At its December meeting the Fayetteville Public Schools Board approved several routine items and personnel incentives.
The board approved the consent agenda by a roll-call motion (mover: Justin Eichman; seconder: Keaton Smith); the presiding officer recorded the motion as carrying 7–0.
The board then approved previously discussed revisions to policy 5.17 (student discipline) and policy 5.9 (school choice) to align with the Arkansas Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) updates. Tim Hudson moved to adopt the revisions and Katrina Osborne seconded; the motion carried 7–0.
Greg Renes presented an early-notification incentive for certified and classified staff at the assistant-director level and above. Keaton Smith moved to approve the incentive; Tracy Pomeroy seconded and the motion carried 7–0.
The actions recorded in the meeting were routine board approvals: the consent agenda, policy revisions (5.9 and 5.17) and the early-notification incentive. No member voted against any of the motions recorded in the transcript.
