KINGMAN, Ariz. — Mayor Ken Watkins and the Kingman City Council presented a proclamation and the key to the city to Tarek Skubal during a special meeting and city presentation on Dec. 17 at the Mohave County Board of Supervisors Auditorium.
The proclamation recognized Skubal as the recipient of the 2024 American League Cy Young Award, noting a Triple Crown performance in his league and declaring the award was earned by unanimous vote. Mayor Ken Watkins read the proclamation and presented a plaque and the ceremonial key to the city.
