The Superstition Vistas Community Facilities District No. 2 board on Dec. 17, 2024, unanimously adopted Resolution No. 2024-009 to correct a 33.5-foot discrepancy on the northern boundary of the district after a presentation from special counsel Zach Sacas.
Sacas told the board the correction was prompted by the county—s review of the district—s revised legal description following a boundary amendment approved in December 2023. "The county has run it through all applicable systems at this point so that I don't have to see you again," Sacas said, characterizing the change as a minor fix to align the legal description with recorded plats. He said the original plan for the district was to include only residential property and that the correction does not remove residential property or reduce property tax obligations for homeowners in the district.
Board members raised no questions during the discussion. After the presentation, a board member moved to adopt the resolution and Chairperson Wilson seconded. The board then took a roll call vote; each named member voted yes and the motion passed unanimously.
Minutes from the board—s Nov. 19, 2024 special meeting were also approved by voice/roll call earlier in the session. There was no public hearing, no district manager—s report, and no district treasurer—s report listed on the agenda. With business concluded, the chair adjourned the special meeting.
The resolution was described in the meeting as a technical correction requested by the Pinal County assessor to ensure that the district—s legal description in county records matches the recorded final plat; no further hearings on this correction were anticipated.
