Michigan House orders call, recognizes guests and adjourns until Dec. 31

Representative Colazar asked members to welcome 20 students and 15 adults from Spiritus Sanctus Academy. Representative McKinney introduced home care workers in the east gallery affiliated with SEIU.
During routine proceedings, Speaker pro tem recognized Representative Tate. "I move to order a call of the House," Tate said; the presiding officer put the question and, after a voice response of "Aye," ordered a call of the House and directed sergeants to bring members back to the chamber and bar the doors.
With a quorum not present, Floor leader Wilson announced, "pursuant to House Rule 12, the House will stand adjourned until Tuesday, December 31st at 1:30 PM." The presiding officer then declared the House at ease.
