Goldendale police report spike in higher-severity calls; staffing noted as constrained

Smith said staffing is strained, describing current coverage as "about 1 person per shift," which has required the department to manage more callouts and higher-severity incidents with limited personnel.
The council thanked Chief Smith for the update; the report was provided as an informational department report rather than part of an action item.
