The Moore City Council authorized city staff to solicit proposals to update the city’s land development code, including zoning and subdivision regulations, design and performance standards, and driveway access management, a staff presenter said on Dec. 16.
Staff said the update would compare Moore’s code to model codes like Pure Cities, modernize zoning districts (with special focus on the C‑6 central business district), incorporate images and diagrams to clarify provisions, and establish driveway-access rules for collector and arterial roads. Staff said an RFP solicitation would begin in January 2025.
Council approved the authorization on a motion and roll‑call vote. Staff noted the list of topics for the update was not exhaustive and that additional items could be included during the consultant selection process.
