The Moore City Council voted to approve a $1,968,000 professional‑services agreement with Eagle Consultants to design relocation and upgrades to two wastewater effluent discharge pipelines affected by the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority’s east–west corridor near I‑35.
Staff told the council the two existing effluent lines run parallel to Indian Hills Road and discharge to the Canadian River roughly 4.5 miles downstream; because turnpike construction will affect that corridor, the city must relocate the lines and is taking the opportunity to upgrade them. Eagle Consultants was recommended because of its prior work on adjacent line sections and familiarity with the corridor.
When asked about funding, staff said the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority has indicated it will pay 100% of design costs and likely cover relocation costs as well. Council approved the contract by motion and roll‑call vote.
