Committee reviews updated Policy Manual Section I and holds adoption until full manual review

The Groton-Dunstable Regional School District School Committee voted on Dec. 18 to accept the revised Policy Manual Section I (curriculum) for information and to defer its formal adoption until the committee completes review of the entire policy manual.
Chair reported that the update to Section I was reviewed by the policy subcommittee, Kristen DiFrancisco, and Dr. Bruno, and that special education counsel had reviewed several policies. The packet distributed to committee members contains the updated policies for review.
A committee member moved to approve the updated Section I 'inform' (accept for information) and to hold adoption until the full manual review is finished; another member seconded the motion and the committee approved it by roll call.
The committee did not raise substantive objections on the floor and requested no immediate changes; staff will continue the comprehensive manual review and return future sections for committee consideration.
