Each session offers 10 student spots for a maximum of 20 total participants. The cost to students is $50, which Mr. Cioppino said covers snacks, water, gas and tolls; the camp provides lodging.
Students will be selected through an application process; the principal said the trip historically draws fewer than 20 applicants but described it as transformative for participants. The committee moved to approve the overnight field trip as presented, the motion was seconded, and members approved by roll call.
