Planning committee extends conditional licenses for two institutions pending DEAC filings

The Planning, Research and Performance Committee reviewed two Act 129 institutions that had been granted three‑year conditional licenses and required proof of an application to the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) by Sept. 1. Staff reported that Robert Cavalier University filed for candidacy on Sept. 9 and that American University of Technology had an unexpected chief academic officer change that delayed their application. The committee recommended and approved extending both conditional licenses until Feb. 1, 2025, to allow the institutions time to complete DEAC steps.
