Pacific aldermen approve Highway N culvert repair, vendor payouts and multiple event liquor permits

At its Sept. 3 meeting, the Pacific Board of Aldermen approved several municipal infrastructure items, vendor payments and event liquor permits.
The board approved Change Order #1 for the Highway N phase 4 improvement project with KJU, adding $65,945 to address a corroded 4‑foot culvert uncovered during work. Staff said the repair is a stormwater item and will be charged to the stormwater fund; finance staff confirmed available balances. The motion carried by voice vote.
Separately, the board approved vendor invoices: HR Green for $1,260.13 for the First & Osage project and RV Wagner for $107,878 for the Smoky Mountain Lane project (paid from ARPA funds). The board also approved a payout to KJU for Highway N phase 4 in the amount of $235,394.72.
On permits, aldermen approved temporary liquor and caterer permits for multiple upcoming events, including the Iron Horse Rodeo and a rat‑rod show, and granted a temporary liquor license to Johnny's Hideout LLC and the Pacific Eagles for event dates listed on the agenda. Staff noted Johnny's Hideout must secure a City business license before full authorization is completed.
