Pacific Partnership reports $1.3M in downtown investment, details Q3 activity

Val Droge of Pacific Partnership presented the group's Q3 update during public participation, saying the organization tracked event activity, volunteer hours and investment figures and outlined plans for Q4.
Droge told the board Pacific Partnership assisted with planning and executing the rodeo and several downtown events, and that the organization "accumulated 156 volunteer hours" this year. She said the group received $8,000 from the city and itemized expenditures for the year including plaza maintenance ($566), digital marketing ($1,280), a Sunset concert ($2,600) and rodeo costs ($1,325). Droge said more than $1.3 million was invested in new downtown businesses during the year and that the group had applied for $60,000 in grants for Station Plaza redevelopment.
Board members asked questions about the facade grant program, whether minutes for grant decisions were publicly available and whether applicants could reapply if a prior application had been denied. Droge said no applicant had been "gone back on" and that applicants were invited to reapply; she also offered to provide the current plaza redevelopment plan to the board.
Droge said Pacific Partnership plans to continue holiday programming and Route 66 committee participation and thanked the board for its support.
