Board approves equipment, audit, consultant, trash and camera contracts in Dec. 16 meeting

Climate and culture consultant: The board approved entering an agreement with EMCS Consulting to support the district's Climate and Culture Committee and strategic plan work. Trash and recycling services: Administration recommended awarding a three-year trash and recycling contract to Granger Waste Services after competitive bidding. Cloud-hosted video system: The board approved a NightWatch cloud-hosted video system and installation with a not-to-exceed cost of $135,830.35, funded from both the general fund ($71,694.35) and the sinking fund ($64,136). District technology staff explained the approach uses a local "cloud connector" gateway to send camera feeds to the cloud and noted some existing cameras will need replacement over time.
