The Boonville City Council voted Sept. 3 to approve an ordinance appropriating $434,824.59 to cover salaries and city accounts, council members said.
The ordinance, read for a second time during the meeting, itemized the appropriation by fund: general fund $149,679.80; sanitation $42,171.11; waterworks $102,917.29; wastewater $83,133.45; tourism $13,000.18; gaming $12,723.60; and parks and water $12,243.23. The ordinance text states the funds are to pay salaries and various approved accounts as allowed by the council at the Sept. 3, 2024 meeting.
Mayor Pro Tem moved to adopt the ordinance and the motion was seconded. The council conducted a roll‑call vote and the motion passed. Council members answering in the affirmative included Venable, Davis, Atkinson, Young, Yoder, Tower, Harvill and Albert.
The ordinance states it takes effect and is enforceable on passage.
