The San Juan County Council on Dec. 23 approved a resolution ratifying the collective bargaining agreement between the county and the San Juan County Deputy Sheriff's Guild for 20252026.

Mark (county staff) told council negotiations began in early fall and that the guild had ratified the agreement in early December; council members complimented staff negotiators (Kim Ott and Jessica Hudson) and praised the process as producing a fair outcome for deputies and the county.

A motion to approve the resolution was made, seconded and passed by voice vote.
