The San Juan County Council on Dec. 23 authorized reimbursement to the county for lodging tax grant administration and support not to exceed $30,389 for 2025.

LTAC coordinator Aidan Haynes told council the committee, in coordination with the auditor's office, recommended a cap of $30,389 to cover roughly 30% of staff time devoted to LTAC functions; the proposal is for reimbursement based on tracked hours rather than a fixed salary increase. Council members clarified the amount is a "no more than" cap that will be reconciled to actual hours and can be reviewed after the year.

Councilmember Mini moved the reimbursement motion, noting staff contributions and thanking Tara Anderson for work that helped make the funding feasible. The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
