Planning staff told the board the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) parking standard (UDO 7.10) sets office parking between 2 and 4 spaces per 1,000 square feet; for a 5,000-square-foot office that yields a maximum of 20 spaces. The petitioner sought 37 spaces; staff recommended approval, noting the Bridal Oaks PUD requires a 20-foot landscape buffer that will screen much of the parking behind the building.
