Doug, APC staff, said the Indiana Department of Transportation offered $50 million in safety funds for small local projects and that Tippecanoe County’s project will use "just under $190,000" in federal funds, with an anticipated year of 2026. He told the board the Technical Transportation Committee had reviewed the request and recommended approval.
The board then conducted a roll‑call vote on the resolution. Members recorded 'Aye' votes and the chair declared the resolution adopted.
Why it matters: projects funded through the TIP are required to be shown in both the TIP and the state’s STIP before federally funded work proceeds. Adding this project to the TIP allows the county to proceed with design and procurement steps needed to install the raised pavement markings once federal obligations are in place.
