The Anchor Bay School District Board recorded several routine approvals and formal votes during the meeting:
- Agenda: Motion to approve the meeting agenda was made by Miss Knox (supported by Mister Moses); roll call recorded and the motion carried.
- Consent agenda: Minutes, personnel report, financial reports and bills payable were approved by motion and roll call.
- Field trips: The board approved a wrestling overnight tournament in Grand Rapids (Jan. 17–18, 2025) and a HOSA state competition trip to the Grand Traverse Resort (Apr. 16–19, 2025) with 11 students and two chaperones; the HOSA trip will travel by bus.
- EPA awareness certification: The board authorized a member to sign the awareness certification for the EPA Clean Bus Rebate application (see separate item), motion carried on roll call.
- Closed session: The board voted to enter closed session under Open Meetings Act section 8b to discuss student discipline, returned to open session later the same night and then voted on motions resulting from that closed session (see student discipline article for details).
All procedural votes were recorded by roll call where required and passed by the board during the meeting.
