Committee approves temporary youth-bureau budget transfer to cover staff leave

The Putnam County Personnel Committee approved on Sept. 5 a temporary budget-line transfer for the Youth Bureau to cover staff leave.
Janine Cunningham said a staff member is expected to begin maternity leave Nov. 1, and the bureau proposes transferring part of that employee's salary into a part-time temporary line to maintain consistent programming. "So we're just asking just to transfer some money from her salary line to, a part time temp line," Cunningham said, adding the request carries "no fiscal impact" for current programming.
Committee members congratulated the staffer and described the request as straightforward. Chair moved to approve the budgetary amendment; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
