Putnam County committee approves Krivak litigation settlement

First Deputy County Attorney John B. Jericho introduced outside counsel Lou Silverman and the county’s risk manager, Matt C. Bruno, and said they were present to address the matter and answer questions. Jericho noted that the settlement and legal strategy had been discussed in depth in a prior meeting and in executive session. A committee member told the panel that Silberman and Chirico had addressed committee concerns in earlier executive session discussions, and the committee proceeded to approve the settlement by motion and voice vote.
The committee recorded no public questions on the settlement during the meeting. The committee directed counsel to finalize the settlement paperwork and return any required confirmations to the committee once executed.
