Montgomery County Legislature approves package of resolutions, sets Jan. 7, 2025 organization meeting

The legislature approved a memorandum of agreement described as between the County of Montgomery and “Council 82, correction supervisors” covering the period Jan. 1, 2025, through Dec. 31, 2028. The session approved Resolution 320 to renew an agreement with Midwest Employers Casualty Company for excess workers’ compensation coverage. The body also confirmed appointments to the county’s economic development advisory committee (agriculture) by approving Resolution 315.
On routine business, members accepted the procurement record, approved the minutes, and approved the abstract of audit claims under Resolution 324. A short exchange during the vote on Resolution 318 confirmed that a two‑thirds threshold had been met for the item; members on the floor verified the count before the chair confirmed the result.
