Richland County finance committee approves minutes and agenda, defers pay-plan item to February

County legal counsel advised the committee that the pay-plan discussion for agenda item 4a required legal advice in executive session. The committee moved into executive session for legal advice, reconvened, and then heard a motion to refer item 4a back to the Administration Finance Committee for more study and additional figures from staff. The committee set the item to return at the February meeting and approved the deferral; roll-call votes recorded McBride, Livingston and Weaver as Yes.
There were no substantive decisions taken on item 4a at this meeting; the committee directed staff to provide additional figures and return with the item at the February meeting.
The committee adjourned following a brief public thank-you to solid-waste staff; the clerk recorded votes in support of adjournment.
