Committee approves United and Windsor township policing agreements; backs drafting public-safety millage language

The Eaton County Public Safety Committee approved two township police-service agreements for 2025 and authorized staff to prepare draft language for a possible public-safety millage.

United Township: The committee approved a 2025 service agreement described in the packet as covering 15 hours at $65 per hour for overtime and a township allocation referenced in the meeting as $50,000. The motion was moved and supported and carried by voice vote.
