The presenter said the district receives a recurring DCJS grant that yields roughly $31,000 per SSO after local share, and that the district will pursue additional SSO positions and an access‑control capital project (approx. $5 million) for door hardware and monitoring.
In the business meeting the board voted to approve the refreshed SRO MOU with Lynchburg Police Department. Administration characterized the MOU as a renewal with no substantive changes since the previous presentation; the superintendent will sign and forward the MOU to the police chief.
