At the Nov. 26 meeting the Jackson City Council approved multiple consent-agenda items covering infrastructure, engineering and grant acceptance.
Council approved Amendment 1 to the 22-007 construction engineering contract with Hubbell, Roth & Clark of Jackson (not to exceed $24,485); change order 1 to the 2024 pavement-marking contract with PK Contracting (increase of $27,333.88); and Amendment 1 to the FY2023 Drinking Water State Revolving Fund construction administration professional services contract with Fishbeck Inc. for $934,850. The council also approved change order 2 to the wastewater treatment plant and Myrtle lift station improvements contract (Haney General) extending substantial completion to Dec. 31, 2024, and amended a prior contract award for the West Clarifier Repaint and Repair project to 7 Brothers Painting for $776,000 funded with $606,046.25 of local recovery (ARPA) funds and $167,953.75 from the general fund.
Council further authorized the police and fire services director to accept an MDCR grant and amend the budget as provided in the attached resolution. All consent items passed unanimously.
The consent approvals allow staff to execute the appropriate documents and proceed with project administration; council did not debate the technical merits at length during the meeting but recorded unanimous approval for each item.
