At its Dec. 10 Committee of the Whole meeting the City of New Berlin recommended approval of city payables and several routine licensing items and sent them on to the Common Council.
City staff listed the November 27, 2024 claims: water utility claims of $74,245.93; sewer utility claims of $5,360.19; and general city claims of $947,005.79. The agenda also noted US Bank Visa EFT of $31,228.28 and We Energies EFT of $68,531.48. Committee members moved and approved the claims by unanimous voice vote.
On licenses, the committee recommended approval of 2025 garbage-hauler licenses for John's Disposal Inc., Waste Management Franklin, Eagle Disposal Inc. and Hartland Hauling; each license recommendation was approved by voice vote. The committee also recommended Common Council approval of a Class B combination liquor license for Ethic Indoor, located at 5330 S. Racine Avenue, for the license year ending June 30, 2025, subject to meeting all application requirements; that recommendation passed unanimously.
These items were processed as routine business and required no further committee debate.
