Escanaba council reappoints two advisory members, hears commission reports and adjourns

Council members provided committee reports: the Historical Commission discussed a grant opportunity and a study committee for a potential historic district; the Planning Commission held a public hearing for a special land use permit for the Super 1 building and approved a site plan for a proposed gas station; the Downtown Development Authority discussed officers and event budgeting.
Council recognized Pat Fittante for roughly 41 years of service as a children’s librarian and made community announcements, including an upcoming Santa visit. The meeting was adjourned by motion.
