Council moved, seconded and approved the demolition authorization by roll call. The city manager returned the meeting to the mayor after presenting the resolution and the clerk recorded affirmative responses.
The council did not discuss alternative remediation timelines during the vote and did not provide a public cost breakdown beyond identifying the successful bidder. The city manager said follow-up administrative steps would occur after formal authorization.
