The Conservation Commission voted unanimously Nov. 21 to issue a certificate of compliance and a new order of conditions for 12 Union Street after the applicant said the project is complete and submitted documentation to the commission.
The applicant said he had completed stabilization, hydroseeding and other post-construction work and requested that the commission close an older order and issue the certificate needed for the registry of deeds. The conservation agent explained that the proper protocol is a state WPA certificate-of-compliance form accompanied by as-built plans; the commission must review the submission in a public meeting and then issue the certificate, which the applicant records at the registry.
The commission took the requested actions: a motion to issue the certificate of compliance passed, and the commission then moved to issue a new order of conditions for the property; both votes were unanimous. Staff said the order of conditions will be drafted and circulated for signature; after a 10-day appeal period and recording at the registry, the applicant may proceed with the recorded project.
