He told the commissioners the negotiated settlement totals $70,000, of which $3,337 was already deposited with the clerk of courts and the remaining $66,663 would be paid from the Cook Road Bridge Replacement Project Fund. Scribe said the overall project came in about $100,000 to $110,000 under budget, leaving sufficient appropriations to cover the payment.
The board voted to authorize Commissioner David Painter to execute the settlement agreement and to direct the county auditor to issue payment; roll-call votes were recorded as 'Yes.'
