Clermont County approves vendor payments, multiple bid advertisements and contract change for probation data migration

At its Sept. 11 meeting the Clermont County Board of Commissioners approved routine vendor payments and a series of procurement actions and contract updates spanning public safety, roads, IT and water services.
Clerk read Resolution No. 117‑24 to approve payment to vendors in the amount presented to the board; commissioners moved and approved the resolution by roll call. Gary Bryant sought authority to have the board president, or another member in his absence, execute Project Change Request No. 2 to the professional services agreement with Courtview Justice Systems Inc., doing business as Equivant, to move probation data from the Northpointe case management platform to a J‑Works platform "with no change in cost," with all other terms to remain in effect. The board approved that authorization by roll call.
Public‑works staff presented a recommendation to advertise for bids for Project RS 1624 (2025 road resurfacing program, phase 1). The board set a legal notice for Sept. 19 and established a bid receipt deadline of 2 p.m. on Oct. 3 in the commissioners' office, with public opening and reading. Road‑resurfacing advertising was approved by roll call.
County engineers also outlined multiple water‑system projects: a repaint of the Harsha Lake intake structure (project 6401‑60175) with an estimated cost of $250,000 and three elevated tank inspection/maintenance projects (project numbers read aloud). The board approved combining those projects into a single bid package; the engineer's combined estimate for the projects was stated as $3,705,000. Separately, staff authorized advertising for annual chemical supply bids for the county waterworks system; a nonmandatory pre‑bid meeting was scheduled for Oct. 3 and bids were set to be received until 2 p.m. on Oct. 10. The estimated annual cost for chemicals was read as "$1,500,000."
All procurement and contract items presented on the consent and non‑consent agendas were approved by roll call; the board proceeded to additional agenda items.
