Middleborough planning board votes to extend Rose Ridge subdivision deadline to Feb. 28, 2025

Darren Grady of Grady Consulting, speaking for Rose Ridge Realty Trust, told the board the team has completed perk testing, performed a drainage test and is addressing comments from a consultant letter dated Oct. 12, 2024. Grady asked the board to move the deadline from Dec. 31, 2024 to Feb. 28, 2025 to complete outstanding items and to appear before the Conservation Commission in January to discuss open-space acceptance.
Speaker 5 moved to extend the deadline to Feb. 28, 2025; a second was recorded, and the board voted in favor. Chair (Speaker 1) announced the motion passed unanimously. No member recorded a dissenting vote in the meeting audio.
The extension preserves the applicant’s ability to finish testing and respond to consultant comments without reapplying immediately. The board discussed scheduling a short follow-up meeting or a hybrid (Zoom) session before the end of the year to address other items that could not be taken up because of the limited attendance.
The board’s action was procedural: it extended the current permit deadline and did not approve final subdivision plans or authorize construction. Grady said the team expects to complete remaining technical responses 'hopefully this week' and to meet with the Conservation Commission in January.
