Resident says trees block driveway; town to have inspector review

Nancy Sisson, a resident of Cheltenham Road in North Babylon, told the board she cannot safely pull out of her driveway because a neighbor’s row of Leyland cypress evergreens now reaches into the street. She said she has lived in the town for decades and submitted photographs for the record.
“Unfortunately, the way they were cut, I still can't see coming out of my driveway,” Sisson said. The board accepted copies of the photographs and asked the town inspector to check whether the plantings comply with local codes and to report back. Staff confirmed they had Sisson’s contact information and will follow up by phone or email.
Sisson said previous inspections indicated the lack of a sidewalk limited enforcement options; the board nonetheless asked staff to reexamine the matter and to contact her with next steps.
