The port reported the building cost is expected to be lower than originally estimated and requested only a scope expansion; no additional CURB funding was requested. The board voted to accept the expanded scope.
For Port of Bellingham, staff reported delays after a partner acquisition and turnover of the port’s broadband project lead; the port requested the contract end date be extended to June 1, 2025 so the project can complete necessary procurement and coordination with the new ISP partner. The board voted to grant the extension.
Both items were presented as staff recommendations and carried without recorded opposition. Staff noted continued monitoring of project pre‑contract conditions and fund balances.
