Board approves ARPA addendum and new ARPA grant for Laramie County Senior Services

Bay said the funds are for operations of the senior activity center and said, "This is an addendum with the Laramie County Senior Services to extend their existing ARPA award agreement through December 31st of 2026. The addendum also allocates additional funding in the amount of $68,372.87 to the board. This is for the use for operations of the senior activity center."
Separately, Bay presented a new ARPA grant agreement not to exceed $175,000 to purchase equipment and supplies for the opening of a new senior activity center, listing kitchenware, exercise equipment and recreational items among likely purchases. The board moved and approved both the addendum and the new contract by roll call.
The approvals allow Senior Services to use ARPA funds for center operations and equipment through the extended grant term; county staff said they are available to answer implementation questions going forward.
