The Weston County Hospital District board voted in open session to restructure two departments, accept an anonymous gift and approve provider credentials following a closed executive session.
The board moved to reorganize the materials department into a manager and one clerk and approved the related salary-and-benefits budget adjustments. Trustees then approved adding a clinic manager position and corresponding budget adjustments for salary and benefits. Both motions were made, seconded and passed by voice vote after the board returned from executive session at about 10:26 a.m.
The board also accepted an anonymous donation to be spent under the hospital district's 501(c)(3) rules and "earmarked for the donor's wishes to be spent at the donor's direction," a motion that passed by voice vote.
Finally, trustees approved credentialing and reappointments for three clinicians: Kimberly Goebel (MD, pathologist), Heather Peck (MD, pathologist) and Patrick Gleason (nurse practitioner). The credentialing motion was moved and seconded, names were confirmed on the record and the motion carried by voice vote.
These actions followed a motion to enter executive session under the cited statutory provision to consider employee and legal matters. Minutes and the meeting record show the motions were moved and seconded in open session after the board returned from closed session; each vote was recorded as a voice vote and the chair declared the motions passed.
The board did not record roll-call tallies in the public transcript; motions were approved by voice votes as documented in the meeting record. Next procedural steps include implementing the approved reorganizations and processing the approved credentialing files through standard human-resources and credentialing workflows.
