The Nicollet County Board of Commissioners on Sept. 10 approved ratification of signatures for a maintenance and support agreement between Tri Min Systems and the Minnesota Counties Computer Cooperative for the county’s integrated financial system.
Office of Technologies staff told the board the renewal "results in a yearly maintenance cost to MN bridal c of $19,047.58. This represents a 12.5% increase over previous years and this has already been accounted for in the 2025 budget to be paid out of the Office of Technologies." The presenter said the addendum updates the fee schedule and makes changes to bring the product into compliance with Minnesota statutes and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) requirements.
A commissioner asked for clarification of the service; Office of Technologies staff said Tri Min Systems provides the development, software maintenance for the integrated financial system and MNCCC distributes the product to member counties. The presenter said each member county is required to ratify the agreement and that the board needed action at least four months before the contract’s Jan. 1, 2025, effective date.
The board moved to ratify the signature and approve the agreement; the motion was seconded and adopted unanimously.
Next steps: staff will complete the signature ratification and record the renewed maintenance schedule in county finance for payment from the 2025 Office of Technologies budget.
