Drainage staff recounted that Erickson Engineering inspected the structure on June 11, 2023 and issued a report (July 7, 2023) recommending signage and noting that missing stringers in the deck reduced the bridge’s load capacity. Staff said replacing the stringers could increase the rated loads but that software updates to the load‑rating process lowered earlier estimates. Staff reported a high‑level estimated cost of about $160,000 to repair the missing stringers, not including engineering fees.
