At its Dec. 18 meeting the Board of Examiners for Nursing approved multiple disciplinary consent orders and resolved a procedural motion.
Attorney Anthony Nanny presented three consent orders:
- Emily Anotone (petition 2024‑585): The department and respondent agreed to a four‑year probation with urine screening and therapy and temporary restrictions on clinical practice. The board voted to approve the consent order; Sal Diaz voted nay while Mary Dieitman, Rebecca Martinez, Elizabeth and Chair Gina Reiners voted aye.
- Sharon M. Gauthier (petition 2024‑1047): The respondent, an unlicensed individual who had previously surrendered a license, agreed to a cease‑and‑desist consent order requiring her to stop using RN identifiers and not to represent herself as a registered nurse. The board moved to approve and the roll call was unanimous in favor.
- Dana I. White (petition 2024‑1184): The proposed order addressed diversion of oxycodone and morphine and related diagnoses and imposed a two‑year probation (reflecting the remaining term of treatment arrangement described by counsel), monitoring, group therapy requirements and restrictions on narcotics handling; the motion to accept was approved unanimously.
Separately, the board considered a department objection to reopening three petitions for Stephanie A. Parisi, whose license had been revoked after a hearing held Dec. 4. Department counsel Joelle Newton argued the request to reopen was premature under Conn. Gen. Stat. §4‑181a(1) and that the respondent had not shown a compelling reason; Sal Diaz moved to deny the motion to reopen and Elizabeth seconded. The board voted to deny reopening the evidentiary hearing (unanimous ayes).
Chair Gina Reiners confirmed the orders and the board’s process for follow-up with DPH on monitoring and enforcement as required by the consent orders.
