He said the review team created an "outline copy" of the policy that remains the board policy, moved some content into new university guidelines, and drafted four new guidelines to improve clarity and procedures.
"You will see that the policy has been, has shrunk some, but we have more guidelines," Dr. Stuckey said, summarizing the restructuring. He told trustees the redlined policy and associated guidelines would be circulated for review and that the goal is to present the document for approval at the February board meeting.
Trustees asked whether campus leadership had reviewed the proposals; the presenter said staff officers and personnel offices had been engaged and that trustees would receive copies of the revisions for their consideration.
Because the board lacked a quorum, no policy approvals or votes were taken at this session. The board chair closed the informational portion and thanked presenters and students for their time.
