Rockcastle board approves split of district nursing duties, creates part‑time consultant RN

Staff proposed separating the two roles so a middle‑school nurse would handle school‑level duties and a part‑time district consultant RN would oversee the health program and supervise nurses. The proposal cited difficulty recruiting a full‑time RN for the combined role.
Board members moved to accept the resignation, authorize the split of duties and approve the updated 2024–25 salary schedule that includes pay for the district health consultant (identified in the meeting as Ariane). The motions were seconded and approved by voice vote.
