Board approves consent items, adopts Policy 02.421 and accepts state technology funds

The board then held a second reading and approved Policy 02.421, a change to site-based council election procedures to align with KSBA and KAC recommendations by removing principals from the role of election leader and assigning the election process to a parent organization or group identified at each school.
Separately, the board voted to accept a state technology fund offer of assistance from the School Facilities Construction Commission in the amount of $33,248; the board approved accepting the award and equally matching the funds as required.
These items were adopted by voice vote; no roll-call tallies were read into the record.
