On action items, the board approved an overnight trip request from the Forest Grove High School music department to a conference and retreat center, Feb. 6–8, 2024, with a listed student cost of $200 per participant; funding may come from family payments, fundraising or a combination. The board also approved a DECA overnight trip to the Western Regional Leadership Conference in Bellevue, Washington, Nov. 7–9, 2024; the transcript lists the total cost of the DECA request as $7,050 and states students had raised sufficient funds to cover 100% of the trip.
