Wheat Ridge City Council on Monday studied a draft Prosperity Plan that lays out four goals to boost local economic vitality, then signaled consensus to move the document toward formal adoption.
Consultant Brad Siegel of Puma and project manager Andrea presented the plan, which the team said reflects nearly a year of analysis, interdepartmental input and revisions. "Goal 1 focuses on promoting the vitality of the city's commercial corridors," Andrea said, outlining tactics to make corridors such as West 38th and 44th more walkable, activate vacant storefronts and target redevelopment areas near I‑70 and the Urban Renewal area.
