Logan Manning proposed multiple items for the spring issue and flagged composting and starting gardens as top priorities. "The first bullet I had was putting compost to good use," Manning said, urging continuity from the winter issue and a short demonstration to help residents learn by doing.
Tracy Savina noted a planned workshop in January tied to a sustainability grant and to a new little-library project at the Englewood Recreation Center. Staff said the magazine will highlight sustainability grant awardees and that communications can feature composting content between February and April to align with outreach windows.
Commissioners also discussed volunteer opportunities at Bard Park and agreed to wait until spring for promotion when schedules are more certain. Staff will compile the commission's priority list and work with communications to finalize magazine content.
