Passaic council adopts multiple traffic and parking ordinances and approves consent items unanimously

Council also approved consent agenda items 5 through 103 (with a separate roll call taken for item 39 and item 24 called out for separate action); the consent motions were carried by unanimous recorded votes.
Roll calls on the ordinances and consent items recorded the following council members voting in the affirmative: Councilman Love; Councilwoman Melo (Mello); Councilman Schwartz; Councilman Garcia; Councilman Colombo Muntenez; and Council President Schaer. Where votes were recorded, the clerk called each member and each replied "Yes." The council did not record any 'No' or abstentions on the votes shown in the meeting transcript.
No ordinance received substantive public comment at the hearings held during the meeting; the council set Ordinance 104 (restricted parking for disabled persons by license plate) for introduction/first reading and scheduled second reading for Jan. 7, 2025.
