Raymore council moves into executive session on personnel; mayor to propose Mike Wilson for Parks and Rec

Miss Shulman moved that the council enter executive session “to discuss personnel matters as authorized by Missouri's revised statute, state of Missouri 610.021 subsection 3.” Sonja seconded the motion. The council then completed a roll call; each council member present voted yes and the body recessed to meet in another room.
Earlier in the meeting the presiding official said he would propose Mike Wilson for appointment to the Parks and Recreation Board, describing Wilson as a regular participant in city functions and a short‑time volunteer whose prior service on a charter commission, the presiding official said, made him well suited for the board. The presiding official said he would formally propose the appointment at the appropriate time.
The council did not take further public action on the proposed appointment during the open meeting; details and any confirmation vote will be handled according to the council’s appointment process and under any applicable notice requirements.
