Shelbyville council narrows AV options for chambers; staff to return with low-cost alternative

He said the proposal can be financed over five years through partners such as TAMCO or GreatAmerica and noted the system design includes an equipment rack, recessed ceiling speakers and training for initial meetings.
Council members and staff asked about livestream resolution and compatibility with platforms such as YouTube and Facebook; Redwire said the system supports high-quality output and automatic upload of audio and video. City IT staff described a lower-cost Option 2 — a single, ceiling-mounted camera/microphone unit (referred to in staff remarks as the 'YOW' system) that would handle speaker tracking at a far lower price. Staff estimated the simpler option at roughly $6,000 and recommended bringing detailed pricing back at next week's business meeting.
