Callan Barker, an eighth‑grader at Century Middle School, presented briefly to the Lakeville Public School District Board of Education after Chair Baker invited him to share his experience with 3D printing and entrepreneurship. "I'm Callan Barker, an 8th grader at Century Middle School," he said, and described learning 3D printing during wind time, acquiring a Solvable SVO6 Plus and later a multi‑color printer that sped production.
Barker said he produced fidgets and keychains for friends, sold items at Entrepreneur's Alley during Panoprog, created a business name and business cards, and now maintains a Facebook page for orders. He offered the board a choice of Lakeville North or Lakeville South keychains as samples. Board members praised his initiative, asked about teacher sponsors (he named the Century Middle librarian, Miss Anderson, as the club sponsor) and collected business cards and samples.
The presentation was short and ceremonial; Barker answered questions about marketing and production and the board thanked him for sharing his learning experience.
